Please plan to fly into and depart from Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD). Your trip includes one scheduled group airport transfer from ORD to the hotel on arrival day and one scheduled group transfer from the hotel to ORD on departure day. To use the included transfers, your flights must fall within the designated group transfer schedule. Flight and transfer guidance will be provided prior to departure.

Travelers arriving or departing outside the designated transfer schedule will be responsible for arranging and paying for their own transportation between O'Hare Airport and the hotel.

Please notify your BTI Host if you experience a flight delay. Because the group transfer cannot be held indefinitely, you may need to arrange alternate transportation at your own expense. We strongly recommend travel insurance with appropriate travel-delay coverage.

Our planned accommodations are at The Blackstone Hotel or a similar property in downtown Chicago. Final hotel details will be provided with your pre-departure information.

Yes. The Chicago Jazz Festival is one of the signature experiences planned for our weekend, subject to the festival's official dates, schedule and programming. The festival is a free public event, so no separate festival admission ticket is required.

No. Reserved seating is not included. Seating is generally first-come, first-served. While we'll attend together, seating availability cannot be guaranteed and the entire group may not be able to sit together.

Chairs and blankets may be used in designated lawn areas. We'll share current festival guidelines regarding seating and permitted items before the trip.

The festival is an outdoor event. If weather, festival operations or other circumstances significantly affect programming, we'll make any necessary itinerary adjustments and keep the group informed.

No. Rather than a traditional sit-down brunch, A Taste of Black Chicago is a curated culinary tasting experience. You'll sample local flavors while learning about Black chefs, restaurateurs, food traditions and entrepreneurs contributing to Chicago's culinary culture.

Absolutely. Labor Day is your free day in Chicago. There are no scheduled BTI activities during the daytime. We'll come back together that evening for our Chicago After Dark Farewell Event.

The day is yours. You may visit the Obama Presidential Center, explore museums, shop, enjoy a spa treatment, discover a neighborhood, have lunch at a restaurant on your list or simply relax. Just allow enough time to return and prepare for the Farewell Event that evening.

Yes. The Obama Presidential Center is one of our recommended optional experiences for Labor Day. Travelers choosing to visit are responsible for applicable Museum admission and transportation.

No. Museum admission is not included. Travelers who wish to visit are responsible for purchasing their own timed-entry tickets and arranging transportation to and from the Center.

No problem. It is simply one option for your free day. There are no required daytime group activities on Labor Day.

Planned dining experiences include daily breakfast, the Denim & Diamonds Welcome Dinner, A Taste of Black Chicago - Black-Owned Food Tasting Experience, and the Chicago After Dark Farewell Event featuring

cocktails/mocktails and elevated bites. Other meals are at your own expense unless otherwise specified.

Chicago Through Our Lens is a group travel experience that welcomes solo travelers. Many travelers join without bringing a companion. You'll enjoy shared BTI experiences while also having time to explore independently. Come solo. Travel in community. We'll meet you there.
