Roommate matching policy

At Black Travelers International, we understand that many of our guests join us solo—and we intentionally create space for connection, ease, and shared experience. To support this, we offer complimentary roommate matching for travelers who prefer double occupancy.

Roommate Matching Process

Guests who would like to be paired with a roommate will be invited to complete a Roommate Matching Form, which helps us understand preferences such as:

● Sleep habits

● Lifestyle preferences

● General travel style

We thoughtfully review each submission and do our best to pair guests based on compatibility

Community-Led Connections

We also encourage travelers to take an active role in finding their ideal roommate by connecting within our community, including :

● Our private Facebook group

 ● Other Facebook Groups or Networks

Many of our guests form meaningful connections even before departure.

Important Considerations

While we take care in pairing guests, please note:

● Roommate matching is not guaranteed.

● Compatibility cannot be guaranteed.

● Pairings are based on submitted preferences and availability

If a Roommate Is Not Secured

If we are unable to match you with a roommate prior to the final payment deadline:

● You will be required to upgrade to a single occupancy room.

● The applicable single supplement will be added to your reservation.

Our Intention

Our goal is to create a comfortable and supportive environment for every traveler. While roommate matching is a valued part of the experience, we encourage all guests to remain flexible and open as connections naturally unfold.
