Your package includes 5 days / 4 nights at a 4-star New Orleans hotel or similar, four breakfasts, an Interactive Chef Welcome Dinner, a Black New Orleans cultural experience, lunch at a Black-owned restaurant, a New Orleans food tour with tastings, a Frenchmen Street live-music experience, BTI NOLA Nights Farewell Dinner with live jazz, scheduled group airport transfers, private transportation for included activities, local guides where indicated, a BTI Welcome Box, and a BTI Host on-site.
Who is this trip designed for?
This trip is curated especially for Black women travelers over 40 who desire luxury, sisterhood, and cultural immersion. However, all travelers who align with our values of respect, joy, and community are welcome.
How many days is the New Orleans experience?
The trip is 5 days / 4 nights, from October 20–24, 2027.
Is airfare included?
No. Airfare to and from New Orleans is not included. Guests are responsible for booking their flights to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY).
Are airport transfers included?
Yes. Scheduled group airport transfers are included on arrival and departure days during designated BTI transfer windows. Guests arriving or departing outside those windows may need to arrange transportation at their own expense.
What experiences are included?
Signature experiences include an Interactive Chef Welcome Dinner, Black New Orleans cultural experience, Black-owned dining, Frenchmen Street live music, a New Orleans food tour, and BTI NOLA Nights Farewell Celebration with live jazz.
Are all meals included?
No. Included meals currently consist of four breakfasts, the Interactive Chef Welcome Dinner, lunch at a Black-owned restaurant, food-tour tastings, and the BTI NOLA Nights Farewell Dinner. Several meals are intentionally left open so you can discover the city’s restaurants on your own.
Will I have free time to explore on my own?
Yes — intentionally. The itinerary balances curated BTI experiences with personal time for shopping, museums, cocktails, spa treatments, neighborhoods, dining, or simply relaxing. Friday afternoon and evening are largely free, and Saturday is designed as a choice day before BTI NOLA Nights.
What optional experiences will be available?
Optional experiences may include Whitney Plantation, a Louisiana swamp & bayou excursion, a Mississippi River jazz cruise, cocktail experiences, and spa time. Optional activities are available at an additional cost, with final details provided closer to departure.
Can I come solo?
Absolutely. Solo travelers are welcome. You may select single occupancy for a private room or double occupancy when traveling with a roommate.
What should I pack for New Orleans?
Plan for comfortable clothing and supportive walking shoes for daytime exploration, plus outfits for dinners and evenings out. And, of course, save something special for BTI NOLA Nights. A more detailed packing and style guide can be provided closer to departure.
