Men's Ceremony Attire

For the Ga Naming Ceremony, the men will be dressed in traditional all-white ceremonial attire provided by our hosts as part of the experience. Upon arrival, each gentleman will receive a complete outfit and change into authentic Ghanaian ceremonial clothing before the ceremony begins.

The ensemble typically includes a beautifully embroidered white tunic, coordinating white knee-length trousers or shorts, and traditional sandals.

White ceremonial markings may also be applied as part of the cultural tradition, symbolizing blessings, renewal, and participation in this sacred rite.

Please note: You do not need to bring or purchase clothing for this experience. Your complete ceremonial outfit—including your footwear—will be provided, allowing everyone to participate together in a unified expression of respect for this cherished Ga tradition. 

Women's Ceremony Attire

For the Ga Naming Ceremony, the women will be dressed in traditional all-white ceremonial attire provided by our hosts as part of this sacred cultural experience. Upon arrival, each woman will receive a complete ceremonial ensemble and change into authentic Ga attire before the ceremony begins.

The attire typically includes a beautifully draped white wrap, coordinating skirt or cloth, a matching white headwrap, traditional white bead jewelry, and ceremonial sandals. As part of the ceremony, white ceremonial markings may also be applied, symbolizing purity, blessings, renewal, and a spiritual connection to this cherished tradition.

Please note: You do not need to bring or purchase clothing for this experience. Your complete ceremonial outfit—including your headwrap, jewelry, and footwear—will be provided, allowing everyone to participate together in a beautiful and unified celebration of Ga culture.

Please Note

As part of this authentic cultural experience, your ceremonial attire and accessories are lovingly provided by our hosts for the duration of the Ga Naming Ceremony.  At the conclusion of the ceremony, all garments, headwraps, jewelry, footwear, and ceremonial accessories will be collected and returned to our hosts, as these items are traditional ceremonial attire used to preserve and honor this sacred custom for future participants.
