Itinerary
Day 1- Arrival in Accra
Touch down at Kotoka International Airport (ACC) and feel the immediate embrace of Ghana. Enjoy your first sunset in coastal Accra, followed by a BTI welcome dinner that opens our journey with sisterhood and intention.

Day 2 - Accra Cultural Core
Begin your day at Independence Square and the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum. In the afternoon, visit the W.E.B. Du Bois Center—where history and heritage converge.

Day 3- Into Ashanti Heartland (Kumasi)
Travel through the Eastern Region with a stop at Koforidua’s bead market. Spend your afternoon in Kumasi exploring the Cultural Centre and Prempeh II Museum—where Ashanti history comes alive.

Day 4 -Royal Naming & Textile Traditions
Visit the Manhyia Palace, then dive into the artistry at Ntonso (Adinkra printing), and Adanwomase (original Kente weaving). This is ancestral storytelling in fabric form.

Day 5- Cape Coast Castles & Reflection
Head to Assin Manso’s “last bath,” then walk through Cape Coast and Elmina’s castles. Feel the weight and power of history through the Door of No Return.

Day 6 - Naming Ceremony
In community and song, receive your African name during a ceremonial naming ritual. Then reflect on legacy at Elmina Castle.

Choose your path: Canopy walk through Kakum’s rainforest, a relaxing beachside moment in Elmina, or an optional adventure—quad biking, cycling, or spa.

Day 8 - Culinary Creativity & Farewell
Learn to cook local dishes with new sisters, then enjoy a celebratory African-themed farewell dinner in Accra.

Day 9 - Lome
After crossing the Ghana–Togo border, settle into Lomé. The evening is yours to explore or simply rest.

Day 11 - Ouidah & Cotonou
Begin in Togoville with a boat ride to voodoo’s origins, spot German colonial architecture, and cross into Benin for sacred immersion in Ouidah—with the Door of No Return and the Sacred Forest.

What is the activity level of the event?
This trip is moderately active. We will be traveling across several regions in Accra.
Drives will take us to some rural areas with dirt roads. Some drives may be over 3 hours in duration.
What is included in the package?
Incuded in your package are your hotel accommodation, all tours, entry fees, transportation, and meals listed as included.

What is the group size and accommodation like?

Is this trip suitable for first-time visitors to West Africa?

What is the difference between Single and Double Occupancy?
Single Occupancy is one person in a room. Bed size ranges from Double size to King size bed based on hotel and country.
Double Occupancy is two persons haring a room. There are two beds wich is usually twin size.
Couple Occupancy is two persons sharing a room and one bed. Bed size is usually Queen or King.
Note: Bed sizes vary per hotel and visiting country.

Will I need a Visa?
Yes, you will need a Visa to visit Ghana. We will notify you when it is time to apply for your Visa.
You will also need 2 separate Visas for your visit to Togo & Benin. These are separate applications that can be completed online.
Should I purchase travel insurance?
Yes, you should purchase medical travel insurance to protect your health in case of an emergency.
In addition, you should purchase "cancel for any reason" travel insurance to protect your investment.
"Cancel for any reason" travel insurance protects you if you wish to cancel the trip for any reason covered under the policy.
What is the language spoken in Ghana?
There are many langages spoken in Ghana. However, many residents in the city of Accra speak English.
French is widely spoken in Benin & Togo.
What are options to remain connected with family while in Ghana?
Most carriers will work in Ghana. Check with your local provider.
There are also options to acquire an eSims card or Sims card. You will need to research providers online and determine if your phone is eligible.
Note: Most hotels have free WIFI where you can use Whatsapp to place calls.

- US passport valid for 6 months past your return date and one blank visa page.
- Yellow fever vaccination taken at least 10 days before arrival for US passport holders.
- Note, anyone originating or transiting through WHO-designated yellow fever countries regardless of citizenship, may be required to have a yellow fever vaccination.
- Malaria protection is highly encouraged (not required).
- A Visa is also required for US Passport Holders to enter into Ghana.
- Non-US Citizens or travelers without a US passport will need to consult their local embassy.
- A visa is required for entry to both Togo & Benin and two additional blank visa pages.
- Single Entry Evisa is required for Togo.
- Single Entry Visa is required for Benin.
