2023 Cartagena: Our Inaugural Journey to Colombia

Black Travelers International (BTI) hosted its inaugural Cartagena group trip in 2023, bringing travelers together to experience the vibrant culture, history, flavors, and Caribbean spirit of Cartagena, Colombia. This milestone journey introduced BTI travelers to the colorful streets of the Walled City and Getsemaní, the destination’s rich Afro-Colombian heritage, local cuisine, cultural traditions, and unforgettable coastal experiences.

More than a getaway, our first Cartagena journey was about culture, connection, community, and shared discovery. The memories created in 2023 helped inspire Cartagena to become part of BTI’s growing collection of culturally immersive group travel experiences.
